The Studentenwerk Hannover is dedicated to support students through a variety of services, including the management of 16 dining facilities, including 10 canteens and 6 cafeterias. Like many catering facilities, the Studentenwerk Hannover was confronted with the problem of staff shortages. To optimize the use of existing cashier staff, VisioLab self-checkout systems were introduced. This technology enables students to pay for their food and drinks independently, making processes more efficient and deploying staff resources where they are needed.
